Every match in this world cup is fixed and Australia and SriLanka will be the finalists. Dont blame Indian team for this. The fixers in Indiam team are Yuvraj and Dhoni. Look at the reactions once the got out against srilanka. The behaved as if the knew it was going to happen. The betting mafia is going to gift yuvraj the captaincy for this. he will be rich from now. Like Kapil Dev etc. I feel happy for Dravid.Even though he will be dropped, atleast he can be alive unlike Bob Woolmer.

Dont get me wrong, they deserve to be out for losing 2 games out of 3. But the competition is not the contest it should be, its like having a football World Cup without Brasil & Argentina or the Olympics without America & Russia.
Its just not exciting anymore and these were the only teams that couldve beaten Australia & SA.

Cricket in Asia seems to be riddled by corruption founded on gambling. The Woolmer incident may be yet another example of how money is spoiling sport. Should the loyal cricket fans be asking their cricket administrations what they are doing about it?

Sharad pawar commented on 28/3/2007 that Indian team has lamented before him, due to immense pressure of fans they have performed badly. So now he is in Samaritan's way, telling "understand" them.
If really this bunch of guys is under such pressure, then what about Australia which has been unchallenged for years and now vying for coveted cup.So definitely they must be under the pressure most possible.Yet we are seeing they are performing quite well.Is this real what team is saying or just want to put blame on self-less millions of fans?

The world cup 2007 has demonstrated that the men who are running cricket in India are obsolete in the way of thinking.

The BCCI totally disregarding the logic of selecting horses for courses selected a team of advertising superstars well past their prime in terms of current demands of ODI's.

The thinking of committee of ex captians like Vengsarkar, Gavaskar, Shastri can be very predictible. They will back players like Sachin to the hilt even when the whole world knows how he chokes under pressure always and is way past his prime.

They will restrict the selection of new faces and youth to just for namesake and look at the first opportunity to use their contacts in the media to make these new faces fail so that they can reintroduce the old players.

Make no mistake the old faces will be back even in test matches these guys will be selected. Now we are entering an age of 20:20. So all three formats are different and will be needing different sets of skills to play and adapt.

Now As india has lost the worldcup, everyone is cribbing about our poor performence and coach greg cheppel. What should we do now, change the team completely like pakistan has done before? Or we need to choose the players based on their past performances?
