I think Rahul Dravid is still the best person to lead the Indian Side . But I think Greg Chappel should be replaced as the coach . This I say not becoz Greg is bad as a Coach , but I don't think his methods work well with Indian Player. I think Indian Team needs an Indian Coach like Mohinder Amarnath ; who can understand Indian Players and their backgrounds better.
Many people would argue this by saying that an Indian Coach would be partial to the players of his region . But Indian Team has given good performances under coaches like Ajit Wadekar . Even under Anshuman Gaekwad ; Indian Team was performing better. The John Wright era was certainly an exceptionally good time .

I personally feel that our team coach (Mr chappel) should not be removed ....the basic problem with indian cricket since way back 1983 is that we are missing an effective leadership and also a ***** Aggressiveness inour play ... just wanna refer to the match played between Australia and RSA few days back ...Aussiez were around 270 in 35 overs still dey were targetting every ball... clarke was playing as if a couple of overs are left ....this is the instinct which is missing wid us !!!

I feel Chappel being an aussy will surely develope the deadly aggressive attitude in our team ....so he should be retained

Well coming back to Dravid ---->it is said that off the feild Coach is the head and on the feild captain is the boss ... Here I would also like to quote an incident of 1983 worldcup final -----> as we all know India played WI in the finals at THE LORDS ..our team made just 183 to defend against the in form WestIndian side !! when Indians were planning to come on the ground to field the then captain of Indian team KAPIL DEV asked for a brief meeting with the teammates ...In that meeting after boosting the moral of players the last line which he said truly show the power which is dere behind a great leadership .....
He said ---> "183 run jeetne ke liye to kaafi nahi hai par ladne ke liye zaroor kaafi hai , chalo lad lete hai "
and the effect of these awesome literals was that we returned back with the World Cup .....So to end with I would suggest to remove Dravid as he may not be bad in person but he is surely not a good leader to lead a team !!!!

Coach, Yes. The coach is keeping a stance which is bordering on nonchalance. Chappel is the anti-thesis of Bob, who was a warm hearted person and who withstood the pressure of sorts in the adverse conditions.

As regards, replacement of the captain, I am not sure. It is not because of any short coming in the captain, the Indian team lost. It is the wrong mind set. It looks as if each player was living in his own world. There was no team spirit and a sense of competitiveness. The fear of loss haunted like never before. Every body needs to go and come back purely based on their individual merit.

Chappel should be replaced .If he is not replaced, India is going to lose the next world cup also.I hope Chappel(Indian Coach)is replaced as soon as possible so that India too can have chances to win the next world cup.I don't think that the captain Rahul Dravid should be replaced.He is trying his best to make the Indian team the champion of the champions.

Its about time we stop patronizing these non performers. Im sure India is not so desperate for want of cricket players. I was watching TV and someone said thatthe team cannot be replaced because their experience is invaluable. Experience at losing to every other team???
The only people who will lose by this perhaps will be the media who have spent thousands of crores of Rupees hypeing up these sorry old men, with the hope that they might win and help them sell coke, pepsi, ICICIbank credit cards and all other worthless things that are made to appear as cool because Dravid or Tendulker or Ganguly says so.
What about the Bangladeshi school boys that walloped our so called experienced veterans? were they experienced at 17 and 18 years old?

Quit blaming the teacher for the dismal performance of your mentally challenged kids. Anyway Im sure Greg Chappel would want nothing to do with this set of losers he has been desperately trying to beat into shape.
Indians think that by paying the coach his salary they have a right to win the world cup.
They should rather try their other skills like bribery, cheating, rigging up the games ( like rigging up elections) creating a cricket scam ( like the countless of scams i.e. stock market scam, fodder scam, cement scam etc. etc.) Maybe that would get us better results.
If we dont ask ourselves these questions and stop fooling ourselves our performance at cricket will be as dismal as our performance at the olympics.
Then ofcourse the marketing people will have to shift their focus to Abhishek bachchan and Aishwarys Rai or Sharukh Khan or some other bollywood type to help them sell stuff people are better off without.

Yes replace the coach and the captain, and most importantly replace the chief of cricket in india, who is morally and totally responsible for the worst performance by team india. Also a number of players who have bad record should be replaced (I think nearly all of them have bad record) by younger and more agile and enthusiastic players like bangladesh.

I certainly dont think rahul should b replaced as captain. I think greg should b replaced, coz i dont think he's the man 4 the job. I think, steve waugh or tom moody should coach india, coz even though they r aussie as well, they are more in tune 2 the modern game than greg is. I hope steve waugh coaches us. But, wheter or not they r replaced, they r not 2 b blamed 4 the teams losses.

YES.the coach and the caption must be replace as the coach and the caption of any team should get removal if the team is continuously facing failure.it is the responsibility of both caption and coach to empower the team against any physical problem.
