I know this question is asked many times, but I just wanted to see what driver every NASCAR fan roots for! My favorite driver is Jeff Gordon and my least is Tony Stewart. I don't like Kyle Busch, Robby Gordon, Denny Hamlin, or Juan Pablo Montoya.

Josh Peter of Yahoo sports was pushing it hard trying to build up nascars soapbox style of lame driving, he failed

Josh, you hit the nail on the head making the comments about how close the race resembled the WWE. There’s no way anyone who knows real racing would debate that nascar is nothing more than a poorly scripted red neck soap opera, lead by toothless fools, and supported by ignorant noodle heads.

As if overcoming the born-in-the-south, lawbreaking, "gotta git this hooch 'livered 'fore-Paw comes home" stigma wasn't enough. Now every time I hear ANYTHING, it's about how Bubba-Ray or Billy-Ray or Jimmy-Joe or Bobby-Joe wouldn't comply with instructions issued by race officials. What gives? C'mon fellas. We're rushing headlong into the 21st century here. If you're gonna keep up with the rest of society, you have to stop acting like something out of a Jerry Springer episode. There's not too much room in the future for hyper-rich, egotistical Bubbas throwing tantrums at over 200mph. (Ooops, I'm sorry. F1 is over 200mph. That's too fast for Bubba.)

Should NASCAR admit they screwed up and let Robby Gordon have the win.

Was it about time?

Should they make him sit out about 5 races for wrecking a potiential winner and not heeding a black-flag?

going with Toyota? I just can't see Tony driving a Toyota to victory. Last I heard, Gibbs' only comment was that their contract with Chevy is up next year, and they won't say anything else. That sounds suspicious...don't ya think?

Nascar is one of the few if not the only sport where the fans don't have easy access to it's rule book. This is the main reason for people not believing in what Nascar does. And people question every step that they make.

I've been a fan of football and baseball all my life and never really saw a full NASCAR race but, only bits and pieces of it. So I have a few questions to ask from a non critical perspective. I know the object is to get to the finish line first but how do they determain the place they start out in with 30 different cars? How many professional race teams are there? How many courses? Do they have some sort of championship yearly? Is NASCAR bad for the air? And my last question is based on my point of view of never actually seeing a race: Does it get boring going around in oval the whole time? And the reason I ask these questions is: I want to here it from the fans.

what is the most boring track on the nascar nextel cup circuit????

2007-08-03 08:56:29 · 28 answers · asked by Anonymous

I mean I like watching some car races they have in Europe where they don't just go around in a circle over and over again. But NASCAR is just so boring. The way I see it is NASCAR: NON ATHLETIC SPORT CENTERED AROUND REDNECKS

Everybody on TV keeps saying he does, but on nascar.com it says Tony Stewart holds the record. Does anybody know the truth?

From Fox News.

ESPN earned just a 4.2 Nielsen rating for its 2007 NASCAR debut last week at Indianapolis, a 24 percent drop from last year's race on NBC. Then again, maybe that was a good thing, because it meant that many fewer people saw the miserable way ESPN handled the end of the race, failing to show any drivers other than the winner crossing the finish line. Plus, the order of finish behind winner Tony Stewart wasn't seen for nearly two full minutes after the race.

O.K., most of you have played the teammate challenge but this week we will shake it up in honor of the early silly season. Pick the teammate from EACH pair (rumored to be, gonna be or already is) that you think will do better at Pocono. The person with the most right drivers wins. The tiebreaker will be who will finish 21st (the last driver in the top 1/2 of the field).
1) Mark Martin/Martin Truex Jr
2) Jeff Gordon/Kyle Busch
3) Dale Earnhardt Jr/Jimmie Johnson
4) Ryan Newman/Clint Bowyer
5) Kevin Harvick/Jeff Burton
6) Juan Montoya/Reed Sorenson
7) Matt Kenseth/Carl Edwards
8) Tony Stewart/Denny Hamlin
9) Jamie McMurray/Greg Biffle
10) Kasey Kahne/Elliott Sadler
Tiebreaker:Who will finish 21st?

Good luck to all, enjoy the race.

Yeah, I know it's silly and has nothing to do with the driving, but it's fun.

I say Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya.

Okay so how much would it cost to take May, June, July, and August off and go to all the races???
Has anyone ever done that? or taken the whole year off and cruise the country and go to every race??
Sounds like fun to me but expensive and I'd probably ahve to wait untill im like old but then Jeff Gordon wouldnt be driving anymore or anyone else that races now...they would all b old men...anyways....
