Was it about time?

Should they make him sit out about 5 races for wrecking a potiential winner and not heeding a black-flag?

And people accuse Tony of having anger problems??

Robby "Crash" Gordon is an idiot, and he keeps finding new ways to demonstrate that.

Wouldn't break my heart if he was banned from NASCAR for the rest of the season... or longer.

I don't really have a problem with a suspension for a Busch race (not the cup race that he got) because Robby screwed up huge by taking his anger out on Ambrose and then celebrating like he won. He very well could have messed up the finish every bit as much as NASCAR did. He wrecked Ambrose on a restart in front of the entire field.

NASCAR screwed him bad though. Robby was right here. There are more mature ways to get NASCARs attention about your disagreements. He needs to handle these problems like an adult.

Both were seriously wrong and both should be looked into and dealt with properly. Of course NASCAR is the law and will punish Gordon and make no effort into looking at their own failures.

Nascar has some very serious credibility issues regarding this matter. I'd rather have Donaghy (ref in NBA "fixed games") running nascar race control at this point! R.Gordon has several very legitimate complaints about how that race was allowed to end! Wrecking Ambrose is merely the effect of the Nascar's complete rediculous "rules" and applicaton of the "rules"!

Everyone knows if it was Jeff Gordon in the same scenario he would've restarted at worst 2nd most likely 1st! I'm not sure a driver has every been suspended Cup starts for somthing that happened in the Busch series? And R.Grodon not starting Busch series wouldn't really matter to him anyways!

R.Gordon will likely sit a few races but I think the entire fiasco is just another classic example of Nascar mismanagement!

Im not sure what the heck is up with nascar but i do understand rules are rules. You dont bide by them then you should be penalized. In the case of what happened yesterday there are two sides to the story and one is right and one is wrong. Im not saying either are right or wrong but I think everything should be fair for everyone and not always beneficial to others. Below is a quote from Gordon about what happened and you decide if Nascar was fair or unfair about the penalty.

I believe NASCAR was consistent with past rulings in this scenario.
Remember when Brian Vickers spun Jimmy Johnson and Dale Jr at Talledega.
When the caution came out immediately, they were still in 2nd, 3rd positions.
But they were not able to maintain "Pace car speed" since they were stalled in the grass and other cars passed them.
The same rule applies here. Gordon was not able to maintain Pace speed and other cars passed him while he was stalled. He is given a position where he falls in line when back up to speed.
He has a legitimate gripe about getting spun. He should have fallen back in line and then taken up complaint later at appropriate forum.
You cant argue with a NASCAR decision, especially in middle of a race.
He got the black flag, as he should have. Will receive a heavy fine and possible suspension.

I don't care for Robby Gordon but from what I seen on tv while watching I believe he is right and should have started in 1st after the restart.Plus I don't think nextel should suspend him if anything it should be up to the Busch series

Robby was right, NASCAR screwed him over. He didn't do anything wrong, the wrong call was made and he stood up for himself. I don't think it warranted a suspension. Not scoring him for the rest of that Busch race was enough penalty for disobeying a black flag. I hope he goes to Watkins Glen and wins both races next week.

rocketman, yes they are. That's why Tony and Robby are my two favorite drivers.

NASCAR is total bulls***. I remember a Busch race a couple years ago where a cup driver had problems with NASAR. When asked about possible suspension, The officials said that what happens in Busch has no bearing on cup. I guess this time it doesn't matter because Robby Gordon isn't one of the big draws.

I give Robby alot of credit for having the balls in doing what he did. He was right! Nascar was wrong! Sometimes you have to stand up for what is right, even if you get nailed to the cross!

Not at all, NASCAR screwed Robby royal. Although a one race suspension is probably called for for his continued actions....While I don't condone what he did, I still can't help but feel bad more for Robby in this situation.

What happens in the Busch series should stay there. He should not be penalized at the cup level. If Tony's bullsh** statement had been made following a Busch race would they take away cup points? I think not.
