Okay, I'm not British, so i'm probably overlooking something. But why does england have a Queen? what does she actually do? I mean, it seems that in this day and age, the role of a king or queen has become outdated. Does England really need a queen?

i know they are related from King George III, Since then they have been very careful not to dilute there dna too much, so they interbreed to keep their bloodlines pure. It's no coincidence that the Bush family controls america while royal family controls britain, so either way they control the world. Anyone out there read a bit of david icke? I am 18 and I think they are great. Why do so many British teenagers want to knock them. Do you not see they are a part of a great tradition, earn more money than they spend, provide true entertainment, have great style (look At princess Di, ok, when she was alive). OK they have their faults, but they are only human and above all else i think the queen is so hard working and honourable putting duty towards and honour for her country above doing what is easy qand slacking off. And i think the princes, especially William will carry on doing this. (OK Prince Harry dressing up as a nazi was a bit silly but he didn't mean it cruelly). I think people who knock them are just mindless who want to appear radical because they have nothing else to complain about. Admit it, you would miss them if they went!!! I would :(

....how are they that much different than a family in the UK spending their whole lives living on welfare? Put them in a smaller home, cheaper clothes, more basic food, and you have another family living off the taxes of the people that actually have jobs. How's it that much different? What is it exactly I'm not getting?
