I myself am straight, but I accept (although I do not necessarily support) gay people and their rights. Why do people, especially on Answers, have to be so hateful toward them? If they want to be this way, let them. It doesn't really seem to be a reason to call them names and spew religion at them, they are most likely not going to be convinced anyway.

Can't we just all get along and be friends? I'm for peace. Anyone else?

Why do white people think we are on welfare?

White people are always saying black women are welfare queens and teenage mothers. Look at the facts. Most women who are on "welfare" are not african american. And there is no such thing as welfare anymore. Welfare ended about a decade ago. Also the birth rate of unmarried black teens is steadily declining. Several studies show black women are among the most educated people in the nation. How long do we have to live with the sterotype that we are welfare queens, especially when THERE IS NO WELFARE ANYMORE!!!

Our world is dying slowly. Does anyone really care? Can we stop wat will or might happen?

Check everything that's been happening to us and our planet. What can we do before evil or whatever steps in to take over? Humans are basically good and good ALWAYS wins out over evil! If there's more good than evil, evil would have no chance to survive!

i have never been drunk and never drank very much - what about the drunk smell?

what's really the point- to get back at someone? b/c u don't feel enough love? then speak up don't just hide in the shadows with someother person- and why cheat when ur married? shouldn't u be in love... ?

Do you think it is ok for a teacher to have a tattoo?

I will be turning 18 in a month and I have always wanted a tattoo since I was little. I was at a family function and I mentioned this and my family went nuts saying I shouldn't. People don't realize that teachers are people too and they have a right to get a tattoo. It doesn't make them a bad teacher, it makes them an individual. It is beautiful art. What do ya think?

In speaking, i have problem with breath, and it seems like i'm about to cry..what to do?

I called someone today, and as i was talking..i run out of breath, then my voice starts to tremble as i ran out of air.. and it's not like i'm speaking fast. i'm not even good at speaking and i speak slow.
People think i am about to cry or that i'm really nervous, but i'm not.. it's just i ran of breath, and my eyes start waterying also.
How do people grasp air so that they have enough to say long sentences? I'm 26/male.

ALL of you can answer this because it will make?

you all think a little (maybe). Those that give stupid answers...I'm "over" stupidness on here so that won't count. In reality, a lot of us have met people on here (email) --- helped each other, felt comfortable sharing stories, answers, questions in life, politics (big time fights). Why do we feel "comfortable" here but when we walk out our front door we don't communicate like we do here? I mean, there really ARE good people in the world. Is it just "safe" here for most of us or what? I enjoy Yahoo QA - but the truth..do any of you go in the "real world" and talk to people - find out what they are about? Meet someone in line at the grocery store and smile and "chat" - I guess I'm asking because I don't know why I feel comfortable here as opposed to the real world. How about U???

Why is the exact opposite of the right thing to do so desperately appealing?

Eh? Any thoughts? I am constantly baffled by this. More specifically, I'm thinking of things like staying awake too late, having yet another biscuit, smoking another tab...other rather more extreme instances have just popped into mind, and I'm sure you can think of your own examples...why do we do it?!
