I think it's stupid. Way too sentimental and mushy and crap.
Plus, it was supposed to be about faith for the church, and it was a Christian holiday, But I think that didn't make a lot of money, so they commercialized it. Now it's about love and all that fluffy junk. It's too commercial. Plus, it's really embarrassing. "Love" is in the air. And so is embarrassment. You can't get through a second of Valentine's Day without blushing like crazy. I think it's stupid. Any reasons why it isn't?

My husband is working on valentine's day- as a manager of a high end restaurant it tends to be the busiest day. Not sure what he has planned for when he gets home, so should I cook him a romantic dinner or see if he's going to take me out for a late dinner????? I'm a complete romantic so I LOVE to come with clever n romantic surprises but cant think of anything for this yr. I want to surprise him when he gets home with something cute n clever. ANY IDEAS????????? Thanks in advance

My boyfriend is extremely smart, and very funny. However, as I am eccentric as well, I don't want to give him something "mushy" for V-day. I want him to know that I really love him, but I don't know what's really "correct" or "appropriate" for a girl to get a guy on V-day.
Your thoughts?

do men just buy valentines gifts for their girlfriends just for them not to hear their girlfriens complaning that they are inconsiderate about their fealings. If it was not for the constant commercials would they remember that special day?

My boyfriend and I have been going out for a month and a half, well in that time, he got his class ring, and lost it (over new years) I'd like to replace it for him for Valentines day, but I didn't know if that's too much money on one gift, if I do though I'd call his mom, so that I could use the warranty and insurance he had on it so it wouldn't cost so much only about $50 for a $500 ring, the only reason he hasn't done so himself is b/c he's more concerned about fixing his truck, and he's short on cash right now b/c cuz his truck broke a while back, but I know he'd really like to have his ring back...wut do yall think?

When Valentines day rolls around we will have been seeing eachother for about 5 weeks. What is a good gift for a 23 year old male? Is it even OK for me to get him something or is that pushing it? Thanks :)

So this is the first year I'll have a boyfriend for Valentine's (yay :)). I'm 20, and hes a bit older. Since this is a first for me, I'm not sure what you get for the boy. I know he's been planning something for weeks now (we've only been together for a month). Any ideas what to get him? I don't want anything cheesy and too Valentine-y (I know, thats not a word.) Anything homemade might be good too, though I'm not on a budget. Thanks guys :)

This girl and i were working toward a relationship. Then she said she doesn't want to be pressured and said she's not ready but would tell me when she is. The other day asked her for her room # in the dorm so i could send her a valentines day card. She told me i don't need to. I asked why and she said cause you just don't. I was gonna ask her to be my valentine. Now i feel like heart broken, what does she mean?

Valentines Day is coming soon and I would like to send flower(s) to a friend. We met online and know each other only through e-mails. I have no "romantic feelings" for her; but want to show her that I aprreciate her as a person and that I value our friendship.

Is it o.k. for me to send her a flower(s) on Valentine's Day or would it be misunderstood?

If it is o.k. what type of flower(s) would be appropiate to send to her?

Alright, so I'm a freshman in college and so is the guy I'm crushing on...we met during our first semester b/c we had class together and became close friends now this semester we don't get to see each other as often, but we still run into each other. Anyways, I told this guy that I like him (during our first semester @ school)...and well he told me he wasnt looking for a gf @ that time...but now it seems like he's going out of his way to hang out with me and my friends during out lunch time. He's a really sweet guy and I hope he does like me back, but I don't know how to read the signs he's giving me...my friends say they know he likes me just by the way he acts...so my question is...do u think I should give him something (like a card) on Valentine's Day...just so he knows im still interested or not? If you guys think ya get him something...what should it be, or is a card good enough?
