Basically what I'm doing is that I'm giving him a memory box with some stuff I put together for him. I also made him a really nice card with a heartfelt poem that I wrote. I made him a poem book with pictures I have taken as well. : } I'm doing all this stuff because Valentine's is our first anniversary. ♥

Well, I found this great website that has a lot of ideas that people sent in. A lot of great ideas... cheap, creative, sweet. So if you need ideas, here ya go:

It helped me come up with some ideas and stuff.
Check it out!

If you can get someone to keep your kids for the night, plan a romantic candlelit dinner at home , throw in some fave CDs for mood music and dancing then off to a bubble bath for two by candlelight end your evening before bedtime with a frit and cheese or desert nosh in bed where you feed each other.. and let your imagination go from there. ROmance does not have to be out of the house.. you could make the night special and stay in!

Call in a favor from a friend or relative and get someone to watch the kids. Then have a "night out, but in" and give him a massage with massage oil or baby oil (both are inexpensive) and prepare him something he really enjoys eating (no need to be expensive here either). Let him spend time on V-Day doing something he enjoys that he doesn't usually get to do. My guy likes to golf and there's an inexpensive public golf course that's only $4 for 9 holes of golf. Maybe let him watch sports or pick out a movie or something.

Have the kids go to a friends or relatives home, make a wonderful dinner [one he loves the best] Rent a lovestory movie and then after the movie take a bath and wash his back, his feet and you know....then move it on to the bedroom [if you can get that far] You don't need money to show eachother how much you appreciate him. Give him a special night and he will enjoy it and know that you put alot of thought and love into it.

You should give him a nice massage and make a mix cd with all songs that remind you of him and the times you have spent together. You can download songs for $1 a piece on itunes.com and the massage is free! Music can really bring back some good memories and can lead to a wonderful evening.

See if the grandparents or an aunt or friend will take the kids for the evening...set up a candle light dinner for 2, serve something he likes, put on soft music, dress up as if going out...present him with a single red rose (very romantic, and won't be a budget buster)

If you can, find a babysitter or put them to bed as early as possible. Cook a nice simple dinner like chicken fettuchinni and share a bottle of wine. You can get a nice bottle for under $10 and make some chocolate covered strawberries for dessert...or the bedroom.

The issue isn't money boo. You have to think outside of the box. It's in the imagination and heart. If you can get a person to feel good about themselves and all that matters. Get a babysitter, a good beverage, quality music, some privacy and a case of condoms.

How about having a "picnic" lunch for him at work. When he gets home a "new" meal that is romantically inspired... You know something that both of you might like if you went out. Soft candlelight, romantic music,...

Dessert? How about a sensual massage? (Hope the kids are over at Grandmas!!!) Behave!!!
