Besides Turkey, PLEASE GIVE ME SOME GOOD IDEAS OF MAIN COURSES AND SIDE DISHES THAT MY MOM SHOULD COOK ON THANKSGIVING...

My mom is an EXCELLENT cook, and she asked me what I wanted for Thanksgiving this year, but I cant think of anything.
She will cook whatver I want. (I'm so lucky!)

I love Soul Food, but I'm open to other Ethnic Dishes as well..

THANKS SO MUCH!! :)

My family and I have been invited to a Thanksgiving Dinner. I offered to bring the Pumpkin Pie. My host responded, "Use Splenda, not sugar". Personally, I find Splenda repulsively sweet. I asked my host if sugar is restricted in her diet. She said no, but that she doesn't like it too sweet. (Doesn't make too much sense to me). So I told her that I didn't think P.P. uses much sugar, but if my recipe did, I would halve the amount. She said, "or, you can use Splenda". What would you do in my sitch?

Happy Thanksgiving in advance everyone! What do you plan on doing for it, anything out of the ordinary? I'm just going to my Grandmother's houses and all of my immediate family is coming. What about you all?

Hi there! I heard on our radio this morning about a program for soliders who have leave at forts around the US but don't have a home to go to, but there is some program out where you can adopt a soldier for Thanksgiving and invite them to your house for the day to celebrate it with you? My family is only going to be the 3 of us this year and I know my parents would love to help out a soldier and I don't remember the website where we can do this, does anyone know of this website? Thanks ahead of time!

One year my family and I had an Italian Thanksgiving, with all the pasta's, sauces, and wine, and I was 12. I was allowed to fill up on alot of food but drinks were limited to those old enough to drink wine and those who are not. I made the latter.
