A turkey
Box of mashed potatoes
Box of stuffing
2 packets of gravy
can of corn
can of cranberry sauce
can of yams
mini marshmellows
pumpkin pie & can of whipped cream
instant coffee
hot coder packets
I always include a cream or fruit pie also, because I do NOT like pumpkin pie & some others don't either...
I also include the fixins for a green bean casserole & a green salad... I try to include what "I" would like to feed my family on Thanksgiving & enough to feed a good sized family or at least enough for a couple of days leftovers. I also throw in a foil roasting pan & box of foil & a gallon of milk.
Good for you for doing this..... GOD BLESS!!!!

Canned veggies canned fruit some pasta and sauce pumpkin pie...
If its just food stuffs then stick with dry goods that have long shelf lives, and require little add ins such as butter and milk. Bisquit mix that uses only water would be good.
paper goods maybe napkins paper plates etc...always good for leftovers.
Can you put anything in like toothpaste and toothbrushes? Those are always useful. Nice new socks. Gloves /mittens, scarves. Bar soap. a blanket maybe ....Thanksgiving around here is usually cold.

You really want to think along the lines of non-perishables. Also what I do is go about my day on products that I use on a daily basis. So you wake up, coffee, take a shower, soap and shampoo and razors. Toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, mouthwash, deodorant, lipstick. Lunch, soups, maybe canned meats gravy etc. Dinners the same thing, all the while thinking what does not perish. I think with some of your words used in your question you are on the right track. Just think how your normal day goes and products you use. I also like to throw in special items like a hairbrush or lipstick or mascara so it is not all basics. Hope this helps as it is so important in the times we are living in!

Non-perishables.Keep with the holiday, cranberry sauce, corn, green beans, instant potatoes, pumpkin pie mix,and for families that have several children---paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, shampoo, soap, and toothpaste. If they are needy, they consider a lot of stuff luxuries.Coffee is so needed by the poor.Hope your troop really gets some great feed back from this.(let the local paper in on it)Give credit where it is due.....
