Got any toasting cheers?
Before my buds chug-a-lug on St. Patty's Day, I wanna toast with clever and humorous cheers (Slainte, right?)! Best if Irish related, but not necessary.

The rules:
1. Clever and/or humorous;
2. OR traditional;
3. Able to be said by an Irish person (meaning I can't very well make a cheer about "not integrating or letting the Irish in" (previous suggestion) because I'm already here! Please, it's got to make sense!!

Is corn used in the recipe at all? Or is it peppercorns?
And is it an authentic Irish Custom to eat this on St. Patty's Day?

My lovely irish mom used to make corned beef and cabbage every St. Patricks day. The way she prepared it seemed effortless and the meat was so tender - melted in your mouth!! She said there was a trick to it. She passed away and the recipe was lost with her. Any help is appreciated.

Why does the U.S. celerbrate St. Patrick's Day? And when did it become a holiday in the U.S.? What's the point of St. Patrick's Day? Besides green beer, wearing green, green clovers, ect.

I have heard that there were more than just two rules. I believe blue is involved and then like I said, green you dont get pinched and if you wear red you get kissed. I need to know the rest ASAP!

I live in central Georgia and me, my boyfriend, and couple of our friends will taking the three hour drive this Saturday to Savannah for St. Patrick's Day. Savannah is well-known in Georgia for it's St. Patty's Day bash but I've never been to one before (I have been to Savannah, just not for St. Patty's). Has anyone else ever been? What should I expect? What should I wear (besides something green, of course)? And, I know you can't get into any clubs there if you're under 21 so since me and one of our friends are 20, will it be a problem? Or is it just a big party on River Street? Anything you can tell me will really help!

I'm looking for clever and humerous cheers (Slainte, right?) before we slam each and ever beer on St. Patty's Day! Perferably Irish related, but definately not necessary. The clever the better! Show me what you got!

Everyone seems to think that us Irish fall about the place drunk every St Patricks day, but it has been my observation that the people who actually do this are ex-pats or wannabee Irish, what do you think.
