Im Irish and i'll start out with the best intentions of maybe dampening the shamrock but i know by the end of the night (following morning) it will be well and truly drowned.

ye i agree, not all Irish fall about on st Patrick's day only some!!!! its just an reason/excuse to have a get together. All the o'neill's pubs across the country are jammed packed with Irish and non Irish people just having a good time!

I think everyone is "Irish" on St. Patty's Day! I don't see the Irish in my community any more or less drunk, than any other
Holiday reveler.
As someone who is Irish, American Indian & Italian , I let my "Irish" out to have some fun, unfortunely, the Indian side just does handle it as well as it could!

Ya, the saying goes...Everybody is Irish on St. Pat's Day. So I think a lot of folks just use it as a good excuse to get hammered. LOL

Most People have just a couple of Drinks . There is always a few though who get Maggoty drunk, but they get Maggoty Drunk every Weekend anyway no matter what is on.
