St. Patrick's Day

I've had some memorable ones. One in particular stands out while I was down in San Antonio for a training course. St. Paddy's Day was on a Thursday and we had our test the next day. We bar-hopped all night long around the Riverwalk: Mad Dog's, Murphy's...you name it. We stumbled in late that night and the next morning we all struggled to take that test (some were throwing up, falling asleep). What a night for a great party!

Every year i wish i could make this holiday more special since i'm of Irish descent, but i don't know what to do other than make a good meal. Aside from getting drunk, what things can i do to incorporate into my day to make the holiday more remarkable?

I done it five times, three in grammy school, St Marys, Flushing Queens with the Bugle, Flife and Drum Marching Band. And two times with the Police Department.

My 4-year-old daughter asked to dress her up in green for St Patrick's day today. Otherwise she will get pinched, she said. We did put a green shirt on her this morning. What's behind this "get pinched" thing? This morning she even mentioned to be spitted if not in green, but I think she made up that part.
