Halloween

I live in a condo complex (about 300 units, various buildings and townhouses) There's a fair amount of kids in the area. This will be my first halloween there and I planned to take my two nieces trick or treating. Is it rude to just leave a polite note (maybe with a picture of my nieces all dressed up) on my door apologizing for not being home and asking kids to help theirselves to a few pieces of candy) then leaving either a bowl or a bag by my door? Am I better off just not doing anything? I don't want my neighbors to think I'm inconsiderate or unfriendly, but I'd much rather spend the time with my nieces...

So my two girl friends and I want to dress up together for Halloween for this big party. Well I dont know what three girls can dress like and make inexpensive costumes. I suggested we go as The PowerPuff Girls and just wear black shoes, jeans, and tank tops Green, Pink and Blue and do our hair like them.,Appearently one of my friends hates the PP Girls and doesnt like the Idea. So we wanna stay away from Charlies angels but do something fun and a little sexy to. Not expensive. So if anyone can come up with a good idea for three woman and please mentions any home made ideas that would work please let me know!

Some of my friends say that halloween means worshipping satan. But halloween is a South American holiday...why should it be about worshipping satan? SA doesnt have such a religion....
I'm a christian...does it mean i cant celebrate halloween???

When I was married I use to dress up as something and sit in a lawn chair with sunglasses on so I wouldn't scare the smaller kids when they came up. Real still and scare the kids as they took the candy. I live in an apartment now with a security door. So no kids come through. I miss the fun doing that.

Its not for Halloween, I have plenty of time to work on it. But what material would I make the main body parts and the branches from? And the costume couldnt be one piece so I'd have to connect it in parts I suppose. I'd like it to look 3-D and realistic (So not entirely made out of cloth).

I don't have time to buy a coustume so I need one that is easy to do. I have some basic stuff like a cape or a hat or ect.
I need this to be some what creative and it has to be warm!!! because I am going trick-or-treating and it's cold at night. It can be some what scare but not alot I have my younger sibling with me.

roll their little 2-3 month old babies up to your door in their strollers and say trick-or-treat? Seriously, their babies have no teeth and aren't actually eating the candy themselves. There are so many people on Yahoo! Answers asking for advice on how to dress goth for Halloween, like being goth is a joke. I'm sure that there are people asking similar questions about all sorts of groups like emos, geeks, jocks, etc. Isn't it insulting to dress up like a subculture or group that you don't belong to? Is it a joke to them? Every time I see someone ask "how do I be goth for Halloween" I fight the urge to respond "that's funny, I was wondering how to dress like a b*tch for Halloween, can you help me with that?"
