Halloween is no part of any religion. Pagans did sacrifice animals on samhains day, but it was not a part of samhains day. It was a day when the people would have bon fire and dress up and wear masks to look like ghosts, they believed that the spirits of the dead would come back and destroy crops and kill animals. It was celebrated as the end of harvest, also considered the end of one year and the beginning of another, a day when the spirit world and this world merged. It is not a part of any religion. It is not satanic. It's just fun now. It is known as or related to, samhains day samhains eve, all hallows eve, all saints day, all souls day, and others

It's celebrated in several real religions as a "real" holiday. The one I am most familiar with is Samhain for those of us with a pagan path.
Hope this answers your question. I wasn't sure what all you wanted to know. The question is kind of....general.
