When I was married I use to dress up as something and sit in a lawn chair with sunglasses on so I wouldn't scare the smaller kids when they came up. Real still and scare the kids as they took the candy. I live in an apartment now with a security door. So no kids come through. I miss the fun doing that.

Moose: No kids live in the small complex I live in. In the center of my town I live in. They have a Halloween parade for the kids through the town where some of us hand the candy out to the kids at that time.

Well, kids and teenagers here are brave enough to ring the doorbell hoping to get in !!! You can hear them coming from afar , as usual they wear masks and special Halloween costumes, they sing songs and recite poems. Yeah, they come for the treat!!! It's considered to be a bad sign not to open the door for them, so people here are getting ready for such visitors. Enjoy Halloween!!!

We live in an apartment building. Last year I left my door open and sat in a chair right outside the front door. I had a mask and monks rob on, so most people thought I was a stuffed doll or something. They got scared when I reached down to get the candy out from the bowl under my chair.

I saw a video of a guy doing that...an adult got scared and wound up punching him in the face. It was funny.
Anywho, I answer the door but I always check to make sure they are actually children. I live in the country and nobody likes to trickrtreat out here. They all go into town to do it. So I always check.
But I looove handing out candy. It's one of my favorite things to do now that I don't actually go out there and trick or treat.
Wow. That sounds lame.
Oh well!

This is our second year in our house and we lived in an apartment before. We moved in right before halloween last year and handed out candy, it was so much fun.
I bought tons of candy for this year, it's really cute to see the little kids in their costumes.

No, I actually leave my door closed, and the porch light out. But I can see who will come to the door, mostly fat woman with small children, coaxing these kids to come and ring my door bell. Who really is eating the goods? The kids or the fat parents who are tooo lazy to buy their own?`````

Back to your question, why not sit outside your apartment and do the things you once did?
