I want to have visitors staying, but what makes the difference between a visitor and a dweller. For instance they get their mail sent here. If they become a dweller do they get ownership rights? This is confusing me. If anyone can advise Id be very grateful. thanks

I'd like to put together a few calculations to determine "real inflation" over the past 10 years.

When I say "real inflation" i mean what a US family pays for necessities.
These would be:
Food,
Gas,
Heating fuel,
Housing - rent
Housing - home purchase
clothing
Health insurance
Toiletries
Automobiles

Just to do these rough calculations, I'd need figures for the above categories in 1996, 2001 and 2006.
(or if nothing can be found for 2006 then 1995, 2000, 2005)

My premise is that "real inflation" or the actual cost of living for a family far exceeds the figures we hear on the news.

Can you point me to sources for the numbers i need for the above calculations?
Thanks!

I recently heard a politician say that the hydrogen economy is still 20 years away - due to the cost that companies like Shell, BP etc would face in developing the technology eg the expense of R&D and the cost of installing the infrasture to make H2 widely available.

Sadly this was also echoed by an industry insider.

Well, if commercial entities as large as Shell and BP are hesitant to invest (whatever the real reason behind their procrastination) and as a result there is a 20 year time lag until we get clean motoring, then....

Q: Isn't this a perfect example of where a nationalised industry should be created? (Very much like the nuclear power industry was created in this country in the second half of last century.) Why can't the Government do that again with the Hydrogen economy? The UK has the money needed to invest; and the right people, to make this a reality. The technology export potential is huge and once installed and functioning here, we could privatise it!

I am a 37 years old man who grew up in a very isolated village in Nias Island, North Sumatera Province, INDONESIA. I am the number 3 child (out of 6) of a father who has died in 1977 (when I was still 8 years old) from cancer. Through the hand of a tough hard working mother, I was able to get Bachelor Degree in Geology and Masters Degree (from a not very reputable institute) in Management. Having a quite broad understanding of the difficulties faced by the poor, I decided to dedicate part of my time and ability for social works. But the number one challenge I can hardly overcome for the time beeing is the financial one. Working as an Assistant Manager of Economyc and Business Development for Aceh-Nias Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Bureau (BRR NAD-Nias), as a government bureau of rehabilitation and reconstruction for the Aceh and Nias Tsunami and Eathquake, seems not to be the best short term answer to the victims. I am now looking for advice and support from you all. Many thanks.
