yes it is ok, lots of people are dreaming about not working. just make sure you do your sums right and really have enough savings to get by and do not need your parents help or else it is you who will suffer in the future.

Well it depends on individual. I believe we need to work to keep ourselves occupied while earning some income at the same time. Even we have enough saving, it is a matter of time that the saving is being used up by then it is too late to start looking for a job. So even you work part time job, I believed there is still minimum income for yourself.
You must not have this sort of thinking that it is a grave sin and shame to be jobless. there are alot of us out there without a job but as long as you don't give up, I believe you still can secure a job

So by "OK", do you mean socially acceptable? Probably not. If a person is unemployed by choice, it could be seen as sloth and laziness. If a person is unemployed, living on their savings and perhaps doing some volunteer work with their time, then perhaps that would be looked on more favorably than laying around watching television all day.

And the savings can't last forever....

Have you thought of being your own boss? You could use the savings to start your own company doing something where not being able to work because you are ill would not be such an issue.
