In the freezer, in the ice tray, sometimes there are little projections sticking up after the ice has frozen solid. They are made of ice, of course, and may be as long as 3/4" and can be about 3/16 inch thick. Sometimes they go upward at an angle. I believe that water expands when it freezes, but what causes these stalagmites to form?

own a poultry farm--lately struggling to survive. Usually, poor quality chicks are given to us by the company to raise. we've tried everything we can think of----different lighting pattern, better air quality, controlling temperature, lowering pH of water, adding electrolites to water, etc.....

Nikola Tesla's inventions and contributions to science impact us every day of our lives, yet you don't find him in today's textbooks next to the names of other scientists/inventors. Why is he omitted from high school text books and not given the credit he diserved? I still hear references to Marconi having been the inventor of the radio, yet his patents were overturned in the 40's and said to be based on Tesla's work. So, why does our society still teach that Marconi invented the radio? Why isn't Tesla a house hold name?

Trying to get a clearer picture of evolution. How does the body know it should evolve and how does it go about doing that?

I’m not even going to ask the obvious question like why are there still monkeys. But what I am going to ask is. Why aren’t there even Neanderthals or any other stage Mammals that have evolved from monkeys or from us, at least in the last twenty thousand years ? Something has to be changing, right.

Intelligent Bouyancy theory is an alternative to traditional aerodynamics, which is unable to explain how Santa's sleigh can fly. Under IB, it is recognized that all flight is rooted in intelligence. Sparrows are intelligent, and that's why they can fly. Bats are intelligent. Emus and penguines are pretty stupid and that's why they can't fly. And of course, men are intelligent (well some of them anyway) which is why they can fly. It follows then that the reason Santa's sleigh can fly is because Santa and the deer are intelligent. Thus IB can explain all flight, whereas aevildynamics can not.

Why is this theory not being taught in public schools? Anyone who opposes teaching the controversy is obviously a religious fanatic and a fool/pig.

i was given a fossil watch as a christmas gift. it started losing time a year after i got it, i replaced the battery and it still lost time. i replaced it again and stopped wearing it... it kept time for almost a year. i put the watch back on last night and it lost 20 minutes in a 12 hour period. i can't seem to find an explanation as to why it only loses time when i wear it. i do not know if any other watches will do this on me.. i have not tried.
