Okay, im stuck on something on my homework, i dont understand what its asking me..

"Which of the equations below is a formula for y in terms of other variables?

(a) b = y - mx (b) y = mx + b (c) x = y - b"

c is "x=y -b" over "m".. looks like a fraction. w/e.

I dont understand what it is asking me.. Simplify the question or something, use examples if you think it will help.

So I have 4 questions that I would really be glad if people helped me... im not trying to cheat or anything but ive been doing this 200 question packet over different things and I need help with these 4...
trying to find sums and differences...
(b+1/b+2) - (b+3/b+4)

(y/y^2-49) - (7/y+7)

(1/2) + (3/x+4)

(a+2/4b) - (a-1/10b) + (a-3/5b)

i know it's alot so I get if you dont answer... i just am really really confused.

I said it was A(x) = 1/2 (w *x)
