The amount of the discount is 800-650 = 150

The percent of the discount is given by

amount of discount / regular price
= 150/800
= 0.1875
= 18.75%

This is already at the hundredth of a percent, so no rounding is necessary.

I hope this helps!

15/34= .441176 etc. times by 100 to get a percent so then it equals 44.12% the one rounds up because of the seven, remember that one decimal space over is tenths and second decimal space is hundreths.

Subtract 650 from 800

800 - 650 = 150

Divide 150 by 800

150 / 800 = 0.8175

Multiply the decimal by 100 and attact the % symbol

0.175 x 100 = 81.75 %

18.75%

(650-800)/800 = -0.1875

-0.1875 * 100 = 18.75% (no rounding needed, allready to hundreth)

Unless you want to round before converting to a percent then it would be 19%
