3x=12
x=4
so x/2 +x
= 4/2 +4
=2+4
=6

Hey =]. Ok its not Geometry; its Algebra & you'll see its really easy.
3x-1=11,what is the value of x/2+x
First of you have the original problem;
3x-1=11 (you need to find the value of x)
3x = 12 (move the one to where the 11 is by doing the opposite operation since its -1 then you do 11+1)
Now you have
3x = 12 (do the opposite operation 3 times x = 12, so then 12 divided by 3 = x)
x = 12/3
x = 4
Now you have the value of x, so next all you have to do is "plug it in plug it in" in the second problem they gave you;
x/2+x
You know from above that x = 4
So:
x/2+x is the same as 4/2 + 4
4 divided by 2 = 2
4/2 gets replaced by 2
so you are left with:
2 + 4 = 6
Hope it helped =]

Actually its Algebra, not geometry.
3x - 1 =11
3x=12
x=4
so,
x/2+x=
4/2+4=
2+4=
6

This is ALGEBRA.
3x - 1 = 11
3x = 12
x = 4
x/2 + x
= 4/2 + 4
= 6

move -1 to the other side to give you 3x=11+1
so
x is 4 so (x/2)+x= 6 and x/(2+x)=2/3

If 3x-1 = 11, x = 4
So, (4/2) = (2), and
2+4 = 6
