What's the easiest way to calculate all combinations of numbers, in sets of 5, that eqaul n. For instance, say n=20. Sum combinations would include:
20+0+0+0+0
19+1+0+0+0
....
5+5+5+5+0
....etc

Is there a mathmatical formula that would lead me to those sums without going through all combinations individually? I'm not a math whiz, so details will be GREATLY appreciated.

Please let me know if you have any further questions!

Thanks!
--Dan

I know that it's easy to find the symmetries (reversible, fully amphicheiral, negative amphicheiral, chiral) for prime knots; i.e. the KnotInfo search result page here gives them:

http://www.indiana.edu/~knotinfo/results.cgi?knots=3-6&knots=7&knots=8&knots=9&knots=10&name=1&symmetry_type=1&full_symmetry_group=1&option=html

Is there any such table of symmetries of prime links and/or composite knots and/or composite links?

(as always, please correct me if I'm using bad/wrong terminology or asking a bad question.)

solve for the variable:
6x2 - 6x - 36 = 0
(6x2 means 6x squared)

solve the following inequalities:

-6x<18

-16x+4<-8x

factor by undoing foil:

x2+5x+6

(x2 means x squared)

x2-5x-14

relates each number to the previous number....like if i had 2,4,6,8,10..i know that the next number is 12 and i know that the formula is 2n, but i need a recursive formula to show how to get from one number to the next...like this:

recursive: a(sub n)= a(subn-1)+2
in other words, to get to the next number, take the PREVIOUS NUMBER and add 2...

once again, i know the next number is 55 and i know that the formula is n(2n+1) or 2n^2 +n.....

does anyone understand what im trying to say....
