i used to know all these formulas such as (a+b+c)^3,
(a+b)(a-b), etc.

I'm not sure what they are called but could someone supply the list to me???

(a + b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2
(a - b)^2 = a^2 - 2ab + b^2
a^2 - b^2 = (a + b ) (a - b)

(a + b)^3 = a^3 + 3ab(a+b) + b^3
(a - b)^3 = a^3 - 3ab(a-b) - b^3
a^ + b^3 = (a + b) ( a^2 -ab +b^2)
a^ - b^3 = (a - b) ( a^2 +ab +b^2)
If a + b + c=0 then a^3 +b^3 + c^3 = 3abc

(a + b + c)^2= a^2 +b^2 + c^2 + 2(ab+ bc+ca)
(a + b + c)^3= a^3 +b^3 + c^3 +3a^(b+ c) +3b^2(c+a) + 3c^2 (a+b) +6 abc

A good place to start is Algebra.com; you can also hit your local Library and head for the Math section. There will be every type of formula, usually just inside the front and/or back covers.
It helps if you know what category you are looking for: simple algebraic formulas, geometry formulas, trig formulas, or calculus formulas. They also have copiers, so you can copy the pages instead of writing them all down, although it might be better if you take a few books home and look them over, to help refresh your memory.
