How is it possible to 'waste' water? Like, when they say don't let the faucet run because you're wasting water...doesn't it just go back into the earth anyway? I thought it was cleaned at a water-treament center, then like, recycled...how is that wasting? I don't get it....

tons of people argue about whether or not global warming is real or not, or if it's just part of nature's cycle. well, i'll tell you that it is a natural part of earths cycle. there are hot houses and ice houses that last a very long time. there are all kinds of natural cycles the earth goes through that are complicated. however, scientists are able to go back thousands of years in ice cores to determine what the levels of Co2 were and we are way off the charts. i took an environmental science class and i know i am not a expert just because of that but it seems to me that the evidence to support the argument that humans have had a detrimental impact on our earth is incontrovertible. responses?

Ok, I"m doing a report on whales, to hunt or protect, and someone says that whale makes the ocean salty, and that if there aren;t' any more whales, the ocean will become less salty every year, so all I;'m asking is, do whales make the ocean salty? If not, then what does ?

The higher the altitude, the cooler the climate. As we fly above 30 thousand feet, we are nearer to sun by 30 thousand feet. The earth is scotched with Sun's heat. But the same sun is note effective in scotching the flight even though it goes near the Sun. The Rocket should melt, but does not. The mountains which are nearer to sun by a few thousand feet, but they are cool. Why this contoversy ?

I don't understand how a cleavage split in minerals (crystals) is considered to a "plane". A plane is supposed to be connected by atoms like those unit cell diagrams. A crystal face is a "plane" because it is connected by atoms. But cleavage breaks those connections in certain instances. So why is cleavage a plane?
Any help greatly received!
