Pleistocene glaciation started 1.6 million years ago and ended 11,000 years ago. During this time, at least three stages of glaciation occurred (the Kansanian, the Illionian and the Wisconsonian), separated by two interglacial events. Some geologists consider the current time to be another interglacial event (with future glaciation coming), since polar ice caps are not seen in much of the Earth's history.

You don't want any back up info or references?

Well...here it is off the top of my head then.

The last ice age ended about 10,000 years ago. Much of the northern hemisphere was covered in continental glaciers, and a relatively cooler and wetter climate prevailed across much of the rest of the northern hemisphere. Most mountain ranges had an ice cap covering them.

There was a "Little Ice Age" that affected the planet from the 14th century through about 1850, with lots of advancement of alpine glaciers in mountain ranges.
