They don't relate to Earth so much as they are a part of Earth.

Relate is a term you use when you are trying to draw comparisons between two different things. Like how does Mars relate to Earth or how do cats relate to tigers.

The inner core is solid iron and nickel. The outer core is liquid iron and nickel and its circulation controls our magnetic field.

they are both in the earth but layers depend on how the earth works also that the inner core is a liquid and the outer is solid and when you get deep in the earth u would find that if u put something strong like a a big steel bar and w8ed a few years it would be all broken cause of its layer after the crust
