If everyone on Earth spun around counter-clockwise at the same time, would the rotation of the Earth slow down? Even just a little bit? By the way, it's like 3:30 am, so... I was just wondering. I know this is dumb.

A fault is observed in a road cut, but there are no obvious rocks units to correlate on either side of the fault to determine relative movement. How else might you determine or even infer whether the hanging wall has moved up or down relative to the footwall? (Think of fossils, tectonic setting, etc.)

Venus has temperatures of 900F, due to high CO2 levels in the atmosphere creating a greenhouse effect. I am just looking for numbers. Education on why global warming does not exist is not necessary. Thanks

I'm doing a lab write up. The lab was about convection and we put cold water in a small vial and placed that in a big beaker of hot water and then the opposite. We have to write a conclusion about what we learned and my teacher is very picky. has anyone ever done this lab or one similar and can help?
