It's amazing how everyone can get a different answer to the question. Gee I always thought I got it right. Looks like I'll have to have a talk to that old crone of a prep teacher of mine.

Anyway perhaps I should add this:The problem for the evolutionist IMO is still the question of how matter originated in the first place. If there was nothing in the beginning then nothing can be made from nothing. Or 0 + 0 can't = 1. Yeah ok then who created God is another issue. The evolutionist, nor science has a plausible explanation that explains the origin of matter.

For something to be scientific, you have to be able to repeat your observation. As the origin of the universe cannot be observed or repeated as it has already taken place, opinions about origins are not science but belief. I have my own opinions as to my belief.

Wow trying to convert people to my cult? I think I'll call it the cult of Col

The "evolutionist" says no such thing. That's a false metaphor (and I'm not even sure for what) made by Creationists as they try in vain to bring down the idea that evolution ever occurred. The Creationist needs to take a biology class, and this time pay attention. The "evolutionist" has done his or her research.

Also, the "evolutionist" would probably have placed this question in the biology section, but hey, what do semantics matter to a Creationist, hmm?

Happy new year, by the way.

EDIT: Okay, I want you to read this sentence out loud, at least ten times, until it sticks:

The theory of evolution has NOTHING to do with the origin of the universe OR the origin of life.

Keep saying that until you understand it.

It can be true in the same way as the following is true:

Christmas tells us how infinity decided to become less than infinity. The concept of the Trinity says that 3=1.

There is a lot more mystery to life than one can express using mathematical analogies.

BTW... on a somewhat tongue-in-cheek level I would challenge you to find a single mother anywhere on the planet who is raising children and who does not know how to make something out of nothing. The statement 0+0=1 could well be used as a slogan.

in any problem there is a margin of error b/c of rounding and you never round up to a odd number... So if it was 1.5 and you were rounding then it would round up to two . If it was 2.5 then you round down to two so its called random error. If you rounded up all of the time then you would always get a high number. If you round down all of the time then you will always get a low number. .5 rounds to zero so
"0" .5 + "0" .5 = 1. It is the way you observe numbers in any experiment. There is a range for 0+0 and is 0 through 1

Sorry, what? Where does evolution theory state mathematical fallacies?

Seems to me that you're thinking big bang theory, and even then you think that the big bang was the creation of matter. You need to study your subjects before you argue against them, kupo. Big bang theory doesn't state that matter didn't exist prior to the event, there isn't even a theory in physics that can describe how exactly matter was before the big bang.

So basically it comes down to more a question of "The creationist says 'I know everything about the universe because my religion says so!' How can this be true?", not mathematical errors as you're claiming, kupo.

The zeroth item is the initial item of a zero-based sequence (that is, a sequence which is numbered beginning from zero rather than one), such as the non-negative integers .

This kind of numbering is common in array references in computer systems, so hackers, computer scientists and computer geeks often use zeroth where others might use first, and so forth. Although there is logical reasoning for this in programming and mathematics, there is little logical reasoning to use this in other areas, yet it often is.

That's nothing. The binaryist tells me that 1 + 1 = 10.

You are an idiot. I am perfectly ok with that you are entitled to your own opinions. Stop trying to recruit members into your cult and let people that want to do actual research be.

But 0^0=1 witch makes no sense

The creationist believes 1 = (insert symbol for infinity here).

How can that be true?

Since you have posted in a science forum, would you be so kind as to cite your sources?
