What volume of a liquid having a density of 6.44 g/cm3 is needed to supply 9.00 grams of that liquid? Answer in cm3. I've tried to just plug in the known values to D=M/V and I'm not getting the right answer but I was told by a TA that by manipulating D=M/V to V=D/M I could get the answer. What I get is 6.44g/cm^3 / 9.00g, which comes out to .715555556 which with sif figs comes to .716 after rounding. Any thoughts?

turn certain elements into others by either taking or removing protons? Is it theoretically possible to turn hydrogen into gold by adding enough protons? Is the reason this is impossible because there would be a release of atomic energy like a nuclear bomb?

I realize this is impractical for wealth-building even if its somehow possible because gold isn't worth much in the (femto???)-technology scale.

I'm an AS level student and I was wondering what exactly is the control of a chemical experiment. There's an example of an experiment which involves extracting potato juice from a potato and adding it to glucose and adding iodine to discover that the potato juice has turned the glucose into starch. Apparently the control of the experiment is an enzyme. But why is it an enzyme?
