my answer for a) is 1443g and i got 2395g for d) but how can i write that number in 3significant. it is like 1443.54 for a) and 2395.44g

The equation for the total heat transferred in a chemistry lab is Q total = Q Heat of fusion + Q water
Then, where does the heat come from and go to specifically? I know that for heat of fusion (the heat comes from the ice cream mixture and goes to the salt and ice mixture), but I am not sure where the heat of water comes from???

you have a 200 ml beaker with 200ml distilled water. You also have a 400ml beaker with 200ml corn oil.
1- which is more dense, the corn oil or the distilled water?

2- you add a block of softwood to the beaker with the corn oil and a block of softwood to the beaker with the water. what will happen?

3- would the blocks of wood float at the same level in both beakers? why or why not?
