why earth borons?

Alkaline earth metals like Calcium, Strontium form compounds with Boron.

The anion is not boron itself but in a combined state like hexaboride. I don't remember the formula though.

Hence its sensible to call them alkaline earth borons!

They have peculiar properties like Ferromagnetism!

It is not earth borons but alkaline earth and boron

Alkaline earths are metals of group2 (Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba ,Ra)

borons of these metals with the element boron

boron falls in the second group of the periodic table.

2nd group elements are called alkaline earth metals.
