I really need help with this. Is it 3 - methyl - 2 - Pentanol?

OH at the top should be above the 2nd CH, and the CH# at the bottom should be bellow the firs CH.

the given compond has no meaning becoz valency of carbon is not satisfied plz cheak for wether their is a double bond or is it an ion?

In the UK we would call it 3-methyl pentan-2-ol. So your name is probably right for where you are.
