I think the question is, will cold fusion ever be developed to power anything?

The dramatic cold fusion announcement and hoopla was not reproduceable by other scientists, at least consistently. Also many believe the discoverers misunderstood what they were seeing.

It's a nice idea, but the science doesn't seem to back it up. To be science, it's needs to be reproduceable.

If you can produce energy from fusion without the use of massive amounts of energy, then yes ONLY if it could be contained and converted to mechanical energy.
