I think most runners would know this answer, cuz our coach always had us eat some type of spaghetti or pizza a day before our race. i've never really understood why.

the question is asking which element out of Hydrogen and Oxygen is responsible for water's polarity. my book doesn't clearly answer the question, but i'm thinking the electronegativity of oxygen is what makes water polar.

I think the above should explain it all, but can you die of fright? Can you become so distressed that it disrupts the heartbeat and/or brain function, or stops it altogether? You hear about this kind of thing all the time in books, movies, etc., but I've never heard of it happening in real life.
