I have a graduation final project, which is to see how nicotine affects cells, so we want to have some nicotine to use on some plants, from where can I get that nicotine???

cheapest way is to just pick up cigarette butts and soak them in water. then you have nicotine and some other stuff then you have to extract and purify.

easiest way is to buy nicotine from sigma or fisher

blow smoke on them :) it can be extracted from tobacco leafs by distillation or just puree them, if you live in a tobacco growing state this will work ( for your purpose you can probably use cigarettes also - soak them - but it will have impurities ) best bet is a chemical supply house they will have a pure extract
