jaycubb, I just knew somebody like you would come answer this question. I don't know how many people actually read the second comment ("If Americans came from English pilgrims, then why are there still Englishmen?"). This question was meant to point out the stupidity in the argument. I wish I could take ten points away from you.

That's like asking: Since I'm descended from my great-grandfather, why do I have cousins?
Evolutionary theory DOES NOT SAY MAN CAME FROM MONKEYS. It says man and apes share a common ancestor.
Why does this bogus piece of crap keep coming up?
Edited to add: I saw the second part of your question. Perhaps I didn't phrase it correctly, but I was agreeing with you, and asking WHY people have such a convoluted notion of evolution.
I certainly didn't mean to offend YOU.

If this is a political cartoon and you do not support the proposition why post such in this area of YA?
Post it in politics or something that it is relevant to!
You are simply trying to raise the ire of those that at minimum find themselves more scientist than others.

Oh, thank GOD. At first I thought "Goddammit, not THIS bloody question again," but then I saw the details, and I relaxed again.
I think I'ma steal that quote and post and repost it whenever I see this question again. It numbers quite highly among my Top Ten Stupidest Repeat Questions on Answers.

Their environment hasn't changed much since they existed i guess...Rainforests probably exists for a pretty long time and since they already adapted to such an environment, they stayed that way..
Our ancestors were probably those monkeys that bothered to venture out and seek out new habitats.
In any case, smack any smart aleck creationist that asks that question

I guess your second comment answers it pretty well. The scientific answer, of course, is that monkeys are very well adapted to their environment.

Because humans didn't come from monkeys. Humans and ape have a common ancestor, which doesn't exist today.
