No we weren't made to swim faster than a shark, sharks are streamlined and powerful. Whereas we are not.
That's design for you. Do you think a shark will ever walk faster than man? Or even speak for that matter?

Just got word in from him upstairs and apparantly in short, the answer to your question is no. There are no current plans to create a boy that can swim faster than a shark. However, in early 3001, there are plans to create a girl who can walk slower than a tortoise.

If you are picky, a 'boy' fish/dolphin etc can be born that might be able to swim quicker than a shark

depends, is the shark alive? is it a real shark???? i used to have a little plastic one when i was a kid, it was wind-up and er.. not very fast.
