I'm kind of grossed out - I'm using some lobster meat and am waiting for my husband to come home and take the shell off of it... because I'm scared to do it... I keep feeling like lobsters are so close to cockroaches...

each student is to pick a topic related to either cellular bio, molecular bio, or physiology. I picked muscle physiology..but is there a certain topic about that is easy to research. I would do muscle physiology as a whole..but i think that would be too broad because each thing would have only a limited amount of informaton. So is there a certain topic for muscle physiology?

Half a bee, philosophically, must ipso facto half not be. But half a bee, has got to be, vis a vis its entity. Do you see? But can a bee be said to be or not to be an entire bee, Due to some ancient injury?

ion leads to an increase in the amount of disorganization or disorder (disorder is the same thing as entropy)

My Biology book states that because when hydrogen ions (H+) are distributed randomly on either side of the membrane, no additional energy is needed to keep them that way, and the entropy, or disorder, of their arrangement has increased. The result is a more stable arrangement of H+ ions.

I need help understanding this concept. : (

Since the birth of my son two years ago I seem to have lost the ability to think outside of the box. When something doesn't go as planned I am stumped. Prior to pregnancy alternatives automatically came to mind whereas nowadays they don't and worse still, if I do actually remember (and by the way, where has my memory gone?) to try and think of an alternative, I can't. Decision-making is a nightmare too, I just dither. Sometimes decision making with a tetchy two year old in tow is difficult and I accept as a mum that I can often be preoccupied which doesn't help but is there anything that I can do to get my brain back to how it was?
I'm going to put this in the science section rather than the pregnancy one because I'd really like to know the science behind this. (Always assuming that there is some!).
