Last night i went to a party and there were these little insects kindda like grasshoppers but much smaller and much skinnier, If I had a website i could post a picture as well, They had 3 pairs of small legs and a pair of really long ones.

I caught one of the long legs and it jumped away and it was left with just 1 long leg but it jumped normally just a bit lopsided, then when i caught the other long leg that too broke with a snap and still it moved a round like nothing happened just now it wasn't jumping like usual.

So do u think he even noticed that a pair of his legs were missing??

So here goes: Humans inherit X&Y chromosomes, but what exactly are we inheriting through them? Are we (only) inheriting a set of traits through X, and not Y, and vice versa? If so, are there any general traits that anyone can specify? Also, do the traits in X and Y vary with gender; i.e., do the tratis in X/Y vary in males and females?

I tend to believe that theories in science that are well tested and predict experimental data well are unfathomanble facts of the universe.
For example, evolution, general theory of relativity, quantum mechanics are all undeniable facts of the universe, and its futile to try and prove them wrong.

I also believe that everything in the universe is understanble through science.

Who agrees with me? disagrees with me? who thinks that there are things that happen that scientists can answer?

As you can see, science is my religion...

I know the common myth is that they do when scared and I know that's not true. A lot of places base this on observations made in captivity. However I've also seen trivia that states ostriches stick their heads in the sand to look for underground water. Is this true?
