Inheritance: Two Trait Crosses, Incomplete Dominance, Multiple Alleles, And X-Linked Inheritance

Thin flat nails are dominent and normal nails are recessive. Norman has thin flat nails. His father has thin flat nails. Hi smother has normal nails. What is the genotype of all individuals?

I am not asking fr anyone to DO my homework, but it is a good wat to check my answers and help me. I am doing Bio 12 thru correspondese and appreciate the help

I'm going to list the nails gene as N or n.

*digs out biology notes and does punnet square*

assuming his mother didn't have any recessive genes on the nails...
looks like both kids would have normal nails with one recessive gene (so Nn) and it would look something like this. Nn/XX and Nn/XY. I don't believe there's be any NN types.

if she had one recessive gene then there's a 50% chance either of them would have flat nails, or normal, but it's be Nn/XX or Nn/XY. sorry if this isn't what you want, but without any more information that's all I can do!

hey! i'm not sure but i think Father-Thin,flat(homozygous) , Mother- normal(homozygous),NOrman-thin flat(heterozygous), sister- thin flat (heterozygous). Again I'M NOT SURE.
