Now that France has opened its UFO files and the former Governor of Arizona has admitted that he, too, was a witness to the unexplained phenomenon of 1997 - which they tried to blow off to avoid public panic - how do we explain that SETI has, apparently, heard nothing?

If it could then perhaps light from one galaxy bent by another galaxy or galaxies (perhaps a rotating cluster) could be focused into a single point of incredible power. This might have quantum relativistic effects and cause a bend or break in spacetime and black holes and stuff.
And what if that focal point hit earth - we would be frazelled and turned to a crisp! And all with very little warning no doubt.

This question came to me today during school, and my science teacher wasn't there to answer it. This is probably a stupid-ish question, but I want to know how the sun can burn if there isn't any air in space? Or is there some other gas?

Yes, it's true!
A Mars-orbiting satellite recently spotted seven dark spots near the planet's equator that scientists think could be entrances to UNDERGROUND CAVES.
We know that water exists in the Mars polar ice caps, could there be vast regions of underground water harboring some form of life that our satellite's and observers have not been able to detect?

THE CAVES:

THE WATER:

THE QUESTION:
Are we close to discovering there really is LIFE on MARS...
PERHAPS IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS??

Hi, I teach my boys at home and the question of a light year came up. It says in our book that it takes 8 light minutes for sunlight to reach the earth. So, do 60 light minutes equal a light hour? Are there then 365 light days in a light year?

Also, my son said he saw on the discovery channel that it takes "millions of years" for the light from the core of the sun to reach its surface. Is this true? It then takes 8 light minutes from there? I've tried to research this on the web, but haven't found any answers.

Also, what is the difference between a solar flare and solar prominence? Do solar flares just burn hotter and quicker?

Thank you so much for your answers!

i had the weirdest of all days. it was like a dream where u cant get home. I actually thought i was going to die because for some reason there was NO way for me to get home. Everything was going wrong- i thought God was trying to stop me from getting home because it was my time to die. And actually thought i entered some kind of parallell universe where everything was weird.
Could this have anything to do with the moon? (probably not - but im real superstitious)
And what does a red moon symbolise?
thnx

We might also want to help them at first by creating and
maintaining a small pool of liquid water (some sort of nuclear
powered vapor condensation plant).
