The 'Santa Clause' is a whole different thing to 'Santa Claus' - you've been watching too many dubious movies...
And I think it's lovely that the astronauts made the world's children even more excited than usual by reporting their sightings of Santa!

Why pose a question when you know the answer? What is the point you are making? For the benefit of the others who replied, the term "santa claus" was allegedly used as a euphemism for "items" which the observers were unable to identify.

That mission was around Christmas and just like The Air Force always "tracks" santa on Christmas eve, the astronauts just carried the joke further.

not sure where santa come about. but man did not go to the moon set up big time! why has no one gone there since we should have some sort of shuttle to take us there to do shopping and be back in one day . c'mon it never happened otherwise just for a day out let's go to the moon just for something different! just didn't happen.

i will truthfully say that as a baby, I consistently had my doubts. i became approximately 6 years previous whilst i ultimately concluded that a fat guy with a team of flying wooded section animals would desire to no longer probable return and forth around the planet and grant provides to the forged boys and girls, and coal to the naughty ones. that's totally illogical. Plus, "Santa" used the comparable wrapping paper as my mom and his handwriting became eerily comparable. yet no, I wasn't unhappy or upset, nor did i think "lied to" with the help of my mom and dad. They have been basically attempting to cater to my toddlers fantasies. i think of that's relaxing to have faith.
