Scientists say this because they believe it has something to do with light spectrums that decieve the eye. New research into this phenonema has showed that the moon could just be a product of super charged light protons that float in the atmoshere. This theory adds weight to the suggestion that the moon landing was a hoax, and was falsified.

Ok lets assume that our sun suddenly turned into a black hole. (I know its not possible, so don't tell me so.) Because the location of the sun does not change it just centerizes to marble. How far would the event horizion (the point of no return) extend out. Past mercury, 2 inches?

What I'm trying to find out - if there IS a universally recognized "stationary" object in the universe, then how fast is the earth travelling, compared to that object? If this stationary object does NOT exist, then how fast are we travelling? Consider the distance the earth travels around the sun in one year and divide by the number of hours per year? and then consider how fast the sun moves??.... and how fast the milky way moves???

Planets orbit the stars, they're attracted due to gravitation. Why don't they get closer and closer till they collide? If the attraction's not strong enough for this then why don't planets escape their orbit?

Aside from the fact that we would freeze to death, since there wouldn't be any gravity from the sun to keep us in orbit, would we just go flying off into space???
