I need this for a sci project, and I have looked everywhere on the net, but nothing. Please be serious, and where is the wax secreted from?

This problem is tricky because of differing bases and a squared variable.

3^x^2 = 6^(x+4)

Can this equation be solved for x without using a calculator, if it is shown in terms of logarithms?

At one minute to midnight, a mathematician placed ten balls, numbered one through ten, into a vase and removed the ball marked with the number one.
* At one-half of a minute to midnight, the mathematician placed ten more balls, numbered eleven through twenty, into the vase and removed number two.
* At one-third of a minute to midnight, the mathematician placed ten more balls, numbered twenty-one through thirty, into the vase and removed number three.
* At one-fourth of a minute to midnight,...

At midnight, how many balls are in the vase?

My friend tell me that the answer is "zero". Can you explain ...

His argument is
"Name any ball and I will tell you it is not in the vase. Not only that, but I will tell you the exact moment at which it was removed from the vase "

1.Each plant of a certain variety yields 50 seeds in the early fall and then dies. Only 40 percent of these seeds produce plants the following summer and the remainder never produce plants. At this rate, a single plant yielding seeds in 1986 will produce how many plants as descendants in 1989?

i read a newspaper today. its talks about a falling feather hits the ground in the same time as a falling rock in vacuum. i thought about that for quite some times. i don't really get it. a feather falls slower than a rock cuz of air resistance. if a rock falls faster even with air resistance, it should fall even faster without air resistance. so is that mean the speed of gravity constant?

Magnets have a magnetic field. If two large magnets are put in a car, and their magnetic fields repel, couldnt that energy be used some how to propel car? Obviously magnetic fields either attract or pull (push away). I would think that if the magnets were big enough, you could somehow use that energy and propel a car and it would have zero emmisions. Or I guess you could use a small motor to push the magnets back and forth to creat this energy. Does this make sense??

I am curious to know if anyone out there can tell me if there is a drug test to take before hand, and if so, will marijuana in my system be a factor in possible denial for the surgery? I just need to know if I should quit before I go for my blood work.

I heard that there are 2 methods.

1. Peripheral blood stem cell collection

(MOST current and common method)…..You are given small injections of Neupogen/Filgrastin for 3 to 5 days to force your marrow to overproduce marrow or stem cells which are then released into your circulating blood. The stem cells are collected by removing blood from a vein in your arm, passing it through a filter system, which collects the stem cells and returns the remaining blood to you…a 2 to 3 hour procedure.

2. Marrow harvest….

You are given light general anesthesia so that you feel nothing during the procedure. Only 2% to 3% of your marrow is withdrawn from the large crest of your hipbone through special sterile needles .. a 60 minute procedure. You may go home the same day.

Which one is less painful. What is the success rate of transplantation?

I want feedback from actual donors also. Thanks.
