I'm very interested in having the LAP Band surgery. I have a few concerns. I am curious to know if anyone out there can tell me if there is a drug test to take before hand, and if so, will marijuana in my system be a factor in possible denial for the surgery? I just need to know if I should quit before I go for my blood work.

They do blood work but I don't think they test for drugs. You don't want to smoke a bunch of pot after the surgery and get the munchies. You won't be albe to pig out like you do now. However, drinking alcohol is much more interesting experience. I get drunk off about 3 glasses of wine.

they will get some routine bloodwork, but a drug screen is not part of the routine tests. even if they decided to test for it, having a positive test for marijuana would not cause them to deny you the surgery if you were to otherwise qualify.

i think of it fairly is probably risky contained in the long-term to have gastric pass surgical treatment through fact it rather is irreversible and your physique wil lbe continuously scarred. the different surgical treatment i've got faith is lower back a similar project in spite of what it fairly is. I propose weight-reduction plan and attempting your superb to get right into a heavily intense exercising software. i woudl take in spite of the fact that break day of artwork to get your BMI plenty decrease as i'm able to work out you're purely approximately double the BMI of obesity. in spite of the fact which you do, weigh your ideas very heavily and placed your long term wellbeing first until eventually now any cost.

You should quit before you go for your blood work. I have no idea if it will change if they do the operation or not, you should just quit.
