Literally and in actuality of course an elephant is stronger. Its massive size can easily squash a cheetah if it ever sat on it.
The biggest animal is almost always the strongest.
However in comaprison with proportion(that is if an elephant was as small as an ant, or an ant was as big as an elephant)The ant would most definitely be the strongest. If it was the size of humans it would easily be 20 times stronger than us. In proportion there is one animal that is stronger than an ant. That would be the Hercules beetle which has been said to carry up to 850 times its own weight whereas humans can bearly carry their own weight

The elephant (since strength is an absolute measure). The ant has the highest strength-to-weight ratio. This also assumes that we are talking about adults of all the species (a fully grown male lion is stronger than a newborn elephant).

An elephant has more strength than an ant, cheetah, or lion -- hands down. Sure, cheetah's are fast, and lions have big teeth, and ants are stronger for their size, but strength and relative strength are two different things.

if it were as if they were all the same size an ant would be the strongest
but as it is in reality a elephant is as it is biggest and could easily pick up a tree where as none of the other animals could

Depending on the size, the ant is the strongest as they can lift up something up to 50 times their weight. However, comparing their real ability, the elephant is the strongest as it can lift any of the animals with its tusk!

On a ratio the ant is the strongest by far. I think it can lift 10x its weight, an elephant can't even lift its own weight, its fat!

A lion would win because, Lions have strong bodies so...If they had a pack of them..they could take down a baby elephant...
