Laika was a Russian space dog that became the first living creature from Earth to enter orbit.Laika died a few hours after launch from stress and overheating. The true cause of her death was not made public until decades after the flight. Previously, officials had stated that she was euthanized by poisoned food, or that she had died when her oxygen ran out. Sputnik 2 was not designed to be retrievable, so it was intended all along that Laika would die during the mission. In 1998, Oleg Gazenko, one of the leading scientists responsible for sending Laika into space, did express regret for allowing her to die: "The more time passes, the more I am sorry about it. We did not learn enough from the mission to justify the death of the dog."

I think the best way to describe dark matter, at the time of creation or as some call the big bang vacuum expansion of our Universe. May have for example started out as a expansion vacuum mass of 30 inches of vacuum at the creation point and spread out to rest at a massive universe of zero inches of vacuum. Then this great vacuum expansion of space would be able to create rip holes within itself that are black holes that have a greater vacuum warp within this Universe.

Could you show me how to solve the following question?
Runner A is initially 4.0 mi west of a flagpole and is running with a constant velocity of 6.0 mi/h due east. Runner B is initially 3.0 mi east of the flagpole and is running with a constant velocity of 5.0 mi/h due west. How far are the runners from the flagpole when their paths cross?
thanks alot.

I'm hung up on these... its for a math summer review packet and I can't figure it out.

the directions say: "Rewrite using properties of logs and exponents"

ln(4xsinx)

and the other:

e^(3+x) (the carrot (^) indicates an exponent)

If you can help w/ step by step at least to get me started... that would be great.

Thanks

On talk sport this morning they gave a mathematical riddle
Three men enter a motel only to be told that there's only one room left, by the young girl at reception, they are shattered so they agree to share, they ask how much it will be and are told £30, great they say that's £10 each. When the manager gets back the girl tells him she's let the room, only for him to tell her, she'd made a mistake and the room only costs £25. At this the girl takes £5 in £1 coins up to the room, the girl apologises and tells the men they can have the money back, because it's an odd amount, they say they'll have a £1 back each and the girl can have the remaining £2. this means that they have paid £9 each. So whats happened to the other £1?

i.e. 3x£9 =£27 remainer £3, but the girls only holding £2.
