Christopher is my husband's middle name, so I'd like to use it...also, only as a middle name, not a first name :)

We are having a lot of trouble deciding on a name for our unborn son. Well, I shouldn't say "WE'RE" having the trouble... it's my husband who's having it.

Actually, I have come up with NUMEROUS suggestions for boy names over the past several months -- ALL OF WHICH have been shot down on the spot by my husband. Even ones which I feel very strongly about, he says no way!

I know it's his son too, so I wouldn't have a problem with him shooting down my suggestions if he was coming up with suggestions of his own, but he hasn't given me ONE THING YET.

So, here I am doing all of the work trying to pull these names out of nowhere while he just sits back and rejects every single one I come up with. How can I get him to help me out here??? We are running out of time and options! Anyone else have this problem with the baby's father???

I think it has a nice ring to it. It seems to roll off the tongue.

When my husband and I have our third and last child it may be the only time we get to pick a name for a boy. We have two girls already.
Each of the girls have a special middle name that has sentimental meaning. For first names we went with what we liked.
For the third child we would like to follow the same tradition and give him/her a special middle name.
I'm not giving real names out here so, I will just make a name up. Let us say my husband's name is John Edward Smith. Edward was his uncle's name who died tragically at 17 one year before my husband's birth date. So, a very sentimental name. But, hubby wants his son to have the middle name John after him.
If I had a boy and I named him Joseph John-Edward Smith (remember this NOT the actual name, just an example) would that be too much of a mouthful?
I personally think it sounds fine since it will be a middle name. What do you think? Is it overkill?
