Every day boatloads of people set sail from Africa trying to escape from the misery that they live in, looking for a better life.
How bad must your life be to risk crossing the sea in small rowing boats at the risk of death (many do not arrive, they arrive in their hundreds and die in their dozens)

This is a weekly scene on the shores of the Canary Islands and Southern Spain.

How unfairt is the world we are in te middle of a consumer frenzy and this is happening every day in Europe.

The other side of immigration.

THe link is in Spanish but the pictures say it all.

Let´s spare a thought.............

We can say that we don't have nuclear arms when we do. As does Israel.

But why can't a sovereign nation decide what it wants to do?

You people want closed borders, as I do, but where we differ is that you also want to be able to dictate to other countries what they can and cannot do.

create as many accounts as you can, report as many of their questions and answers as you can. Most of them break the TOS anyway very frequenty. We can sent these retards a message that they are not welcome on Yahoo Answers. They already know they are not welcome by the many thumbs down they get per answer. Help us to rid the site of these people.

Star if you agree.

Candyrose is an independant internet poster who is a very reliable source. Her information on the Ramsey case was precise.

She has now taken on the Stacy Peterson case. I checked out all the people that she lists on this page that have mysteriously died or disappeared from Drew Peterson's inner circle. As far as I can tell, these reports are not just speculation.

Based on recent news do you believe that Iran is not developing nuclear weapons? Or do you believe this a shell game, an attempt to create a diversion, to take the pressure off?

I think they are liars and we need to keep the pressure up. Remember, they don't believe the holocaust occurred and are comitted to the destruction of Israel by any means possible.

"Mother Nature feels the pains of divorce
By RANDOLPH E. SCHMID, AP Science Writer | Posted Tue Dec 4, 2007 3:48pm PST "

This article says when people divorce they use two households, fuel uses double, and it goes on and on. What a crock of poo.
If people were NOT married they would live in separate homes, and use their own fuel etc. Obviously, these writer is just sounding off, and stating an unsupported, undocumented emotional tirad.
What do you think?

"This is a declaration of victory for the Iranian nation against the world powers over the nuclear issue," Ahmadinejad told thousands of people during a visit to Ilam province in western Iran.

"This was a final shot to those who, in the past several years, spread a sense of threat and concern in the world through lies of nuclear weapons," Ahmadinejad said, drawing celebratory whistles from the crowd.

'Sigh of relief'
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice would not directly respond to Ahmadinejad's remarks, but told reporters in the Ethiopian capital Wednesday that the U.S. intelligence report's public release showed the Bush administration was committed to transparent democracy while Iran was not.

Can you really believe Ahmadinejad would say something like this, makes you wonder how they are hiding what they are doing and how they treat it more like a game

I've seen fear make people smarter, more focused, and driven. I've also seen it make people reactionary, cowardly, and naive. What accounts for the difference? I'm sure you could call the difference "courage", but i'm hoping y'all can shed a little more light on things.

My tutor at college told us this would be our discussion for the morning, and we had to give for and against points... so I'm after other peoples opinions.

Say if an obese person travels on a plane, and they're taking up half of the next seat beside them because of their weight, do you believe they should pay for both of those seats, which they are essentionally using?

I personally think yes. I can understand how it might be seen as discrimination and I don't like anyone to feel like they're are personally targeted... But why should that person sitting next to them, have to pay the price for a whole seat, when they only get half of it and are in uncomfortable conditions during the whole flight. Some may say "But it may not be there fault, they might have medical/health conditions", which i completely understand, but then again, it wouldn't be the person they're sitting next to's fault either.

What are your views?

Unskilled workers from non-EU countries will be banned from taking jobs in the UK for the "foreseeable future", the government has announced.
Spouses who apply for entry to the UK may also have to sit English language assessments under new proposals.
The moves come as ministers unveil details of their new points-based system for migrants.
About 12,000 unskilled migrants from non-EU countries in Africa, America and Asia came to work in the UK last year.

The US Supreme Court is set to hold a hearing in two cases that are being seen as a legal showdown over the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba.
The cases challenge the removal by Congress of the "habeas corpus" right of detainees under the US constitution to be heard in a civilian court.
If the court rules in their favour, indefinite detention under military control could be declared unlawful.
The court's judges have ruled against the US government in two earlier cases.

OK just forget for one minute that you are in the West, but imagine for a minute you are in charge of the government of Iran. You have just witnessed on your own doorstep an illegal and unjustified invasion of your neighbour and a subsequent occupation with enormous bloodshed and loss of life amongst your own people and armed forces, plus as an aside, the regime has been toppled and replaced by puppets loyal to the West. Given this set of circumstances and the clear impression that the good old US of A is gunning for your oil, wouldn't you think that getting your own nuclear, chemical and biological arsenal was a pretty good idea ?

Bush's "success" unleashed chaos that murdered 1 million Iraqis and drove 4 million more out of their homes into desperate poverty. Bush's "success" created a sectarian Shia government that ethnically cleansed Baghdad of Sunnis and Christians and corruptly lined its pockets with our tax dollars. Bush's "success" killed nearly 4,000 brave young Americans and maimed tens of thousands more, both physically and mentally, leading to 120 veterans' suicides each week. Bush's "success" broke our military, corrupted our intelligence agencies, and embraced torture as official U.S. policy.

Bush's "success" empowered Osama Bin Laden and handed half of Afghanistan back to the Taliban. Bush's "success" empowered dangerous dictators in Russia, Pakistan, Burma, Iran and Venezuela. Bush's "success" increased global terror and hatred of the United States.

Bush's "success" wasted $500 billion on Iraq, with trillions more to come. Bush's "success" added $4 trillion to our national debt and trillions more in future debts. Bush's "success" drove the price of oil from $16/barrel to nearly $100/barrel, and tripled the price of gasoline from $1.06 to $3.11.
